WEATHER ALERT – MINOR TO MAJOR FLOOD WARNING WEST NSW & SOUTHERN QLD
SES & BOM has released Major flood warnings for Western NSW and Southern QLD.
HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is forecast for parts of the Central West Slopes and Plains from this morning, continuing into the afternoon. Isolated six-hourly rainfall totals between 60 to 70 mm are possible. Flood Warnings and a Flood Watch is current for various catchments across New South Wales.
The Bureau has called out there is increased risk for embedded storm cells within this cold front that is moving across the country West to East and at time of writing pushing across inland NSW and Southeast QLD.
Locations which may be affected include Dubbo, Parkes, Wellington, Coonamble, Gilgandra, and Peak Hill.
